The Women's Country Championship is open to all female amateur golfers with an Australian Women’s Handicap who are members of a Club affiliated with a Queensland Country District and Golf Queensland. Members of clubs affiliated with the B&DLGA are not eligible.
Maximum Field Capacity is 352 players.
The 2016 Championships will be held over two courses - Southport Golf Club and Surfers Paradise Golf Club.
Presentation Night will be held on Tuesday night (17th) beginning with Dinner at 7.00pm at the Southport Golf Club. Official formalities and presentation of trophies will begin from 8.30pm. Please indicate your attendance at time of entry. Costs covers dinner and entertainment and must be paid at time of nominations.
"Shindig at Surfers" - An Opening Night BBQ will be hosted by Surfers Paradise Golf Club, commencing at 6pm, Sunday May 15. As it is an informal function, players are encouraged to dress casually, including golf clothes.
"The Surfers Shindig Show" - Surfers Paradise Golf Club ladies invite and welcome Country Week ladies to perform skits to be presented by radio personality Rhonda Sharratt. Acts are limited to 6 with duration time of 10 minutes or less per skit. Prizes for best acts. Current Medical Certificates will need to be Faxed to 3257 1520 or emailed to info@golfqueensland.org.au . Those players who send in their Medical Certificates will be given priority when Golf Queensland allocate carts.
