Established in 1899 the course has recently undergone a significant upgrade under the watchful eye of internationally recognised course architect Tom Doak and his Renaissance Golf Design team from Traverse City MI, USA.
Tom Doak is one of the world's leading course architects who has designed highly regarded courses at Ballyneal (USA), Pacific Dunes (USA) Cape Kidnappers (NZ), Barnbougle Dunes (Tasmania, Australia) all of which are in the World’s Top 100 Golf Courses.
The upgrade works involved the complete rebuilding of all 18 greens, reconstruction of all new bunkers, and the rerouting of some holes and fairways.
Concord Golf Club is the only private Member’s Golf Club in the inner west of Sydney and is a hidden gem, which has been notoriously hard to access without a Member’s introduction. As Sydney’s only Tom Doak / Renaissance designed course this is a unique is opportunity to experience the redesigned Concord Golf Course and experience the challenging layout with challenging greens and tournament level playing conditions set up for the official opening. You won’t be disappointed.
Concord is the only Club in NSW that has Tom Doak’s name is associated with it, and is a great opportunity to play a Tom Doak course without travelling out of your state.
This Open Day follows the Official Course Launch media day on 11 November, and as such the course will be presented in premium condition for this event.
