An 18 hole Stroke event for Senior Men & Women amateur players
(incorporating the SA Senior Order of Merit)

Terms of the Competition
1. This event is open to men who have attained the age of 55 years as of 6 February 2023 and whose Golf Australia Handicap does not exceed 24.4 & women who have attained the age of 50 as of 6 February 2023 and whose Golf Australia Handicap does not exceed 33.5 at the time of entry.
2. The Match Committee reserves the right to ballot the event should it be necessary and exclude any player from the competition without assigning any reason for doing so.
3. Entrance fees will be $50.00 for visitors (includes a light meal after the competition). Entries close at 5:00pm on Wednesday 1 February 2023.

5. Tee times will commence from approximately 7:45am (women) and 12:45pm (men) on Monday 7 February 2022 and will be played at the BGC, 611 Cherry Gardens Road, Cherry Gardens. Players will be advised of their tee off times by means of a draw which will be posted on the BGC and Golf Australia website prior to the event and available at the Pro Shop on the day.
6. Prizes will be awarded to men and women:
- Gross score winner and placegetters
- Nett score winner and placegetters
- Super Seniors (65 years or older) gross score winner and placegetters
- Super Seniors nett winner and placegetters
- Nearest the Pins and ball run down.
7. Players will not be permitted to win more than one major prize.8. The Match Committee of the BGC will make playing arrangements and be the umpire in the case of a dispute or protest which must be lodged in writing with the Committee not later than 5 minutes after the conclusion of the day’s play.
9. Motorised carts/bikes will be permitted, however, if the temperature is forecast to be 40 degrees Celsius or greater all motorised carts and bikes will be prohibited.
10. The rules governing this event shall be the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A Rules together with any such rules (local) as are in force by the BGC on the day of play.
11. Competitors and supporters must observe the dress code on the BGC website.
12. In the event that this region (Mount Lofty Ranges) receives a forecast the evening before of catastrophic fire danger, the course will be closed. In the interests of safety, this event will therefore be postponed. The Match Committee will determine an alternative date and participants will be advised by email. The new date will also be posted on the BGC website: www.blackwoodgolf.com.au.
13. Club Advantage privileges cannot be used for this event.
