Terms of the Competition
1. All events are open to amateur players of Golf SA Affiliated Clubs with a maximum GA handicap of 9.0 for Men, 14.0 for Women and Juniors. The Match Committee reserves the right to ballot the Championship event should it be necessary and exclude any player from the competition.
2. There will be a male Vardon event and a female Vardon event inclusive of juniors. Competitors will only be eligible for one trophy on the day.
3. A junior is less than 18 years of age on the day of play.
4. The entrance fee of $45.00 for visitors and $20 for Blackwood members to be submitted by 5:00pm on Monday, 12 May 2025.
5. The event will be conducted and controlled by the Blackwood Golf Club Match Committee. In the case of a protest, such protest must be lodged with the Club Captain or his delegate within 10 minutes of the completion of play.
6. In the event of a tie in gross events, a sudden death playoff will determine the winner by playing holes 1, 8 and 9.
7. The draw will be available on the Blackwood Golf Club website from Thursday,15 May 2025, and will be distributed to players via email. It will also be posted on the Golf Australia website and available at the Pro Shop on the day.
8. The use of a ride on motorised buggy by competitor/caddy is prohibited unless a medical certificate allowing cart use is lodged with Golf SA and evidence provided to the Blackwood Golf Club Match Committee at registration on the day.
9. Competitors must start at the appointed time. Penalties may apply for breaches.
10. Golf SA conditions in relation to Drug Testing and Code of Conduct apply.
11. Competitors, Caddies and Supporters must observe club dress code (denim jeans are not permitted).
12. The rules governing this event shall be the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A Rules together with any such rules (local) as are in force by the BGC on the day of play.
