FIELD IS OVER CAPACITY - ENTRIES HAVE BEEN CLOSED (including RPGC Members)
FIELD WILL BE BALLOTED ON HANDICAP. Max field size is 112.
1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1 The event is open to males 55 years and above and females aged 50 years and above on the day of the tournament. Golf Australia Handicaps must not exceed 26.9 (men) and 34.0 (women) as at the date of entry.
2. MATCH COMMITTEE
2.1 The Club Match Committee will have sole management and control of the event.
2.2 In the absence of the full Club Match Committee, such members as may be present at the time, may give a decision, and any decision so given will be deemed to be a decision of the full committee.
2.3 The Match Committee’s decision on matters affecting the event will be final. Protests must be made in writing and submitted to the Match Committee within 10 minutes of the conclusion of the days play.
2.4 The decision of the Club Match Committee as to acceptance or refusal of any entry will be final.
2.5 The Match Committee has the right to draw competitors in such manner as thought advisable; vary the conditions of play as may be deemed advisable; refuse the entry of any person; decide the method to be employed in the case of ties; penalise any competitor for slow play; shorten the event in the case of inclement or extreme weather, accept late entries and invite any person to compete in the tournament.
3. RULES OF PLAY
3.1 The Rules of Golf, as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Rules Limited, will apply together with the Local Rules of the club.
4. ENTRIES
4.1 Entrants must conform in all aspects to the Rules of Amateur Status, as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Rules Limited.
4.2 Entries must be lodged via the MiTournament website (RPGC website for members) with payment prior to 11:00am on Monday 3rd June 2024. RPGC Members will be charged directly to their account.
4.3 In the event of entries exceeding 112, entries from those higher handicap competitors will be decided by ballot. Unsuccessful entrants will be given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur. Entrance fees will be refunded to entrants balloted out who do not compete.
4.4 Entrance fees will only be refunded if a withdrawal is received prior to the draw being published.
4.6 Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the committee. Any such entry shall be subject to the application of a $10.00 late fee (includes GST).
5. THE EVENT
5.1 The event will be played over 18 holes of Stroke & Stableford on Friday 6 June – 12:15pm Shotgun Start.
5.2 The 18 Hole Men’s & Women’s Gross competition is a Golf WA Senior Ranking event.
5.3 The draw will be published by 5pm on Tuesday 3 June 2025 via email to registered participants and posted on the RPGC and Golf WA websites.
5.4 In the event of there being a tie for the overall winner of the 18 Hole Competition, the Golf Australia countback method will be used to determine the winner. For all other ties, the Golf Australia countback method will be used.
5.5 Male players with a GA handicap of 12.2 or below will play Stroke from the Blue Tees – Senior Ranking.
Male players with a GA Handicap of 12.3 to 19.1 (B Grade) will play Stableford from the Blue Tees.
Male players with a GA Handicap of 19.2 to 26.9 (C Grade) will play Stableford from the Blue Tees.
Female Players with a GA Handicap of 16.8 or less will play Stroke from the Red Tees – Senior Ranking.
Female Players with a GA Handicap of 16.9 to 34.0 will play Stableford from the Red Tees.
6. PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
6.1 All entrants assent to be bound by the Golf WA Code of Conduct. A copy of the code is available from the Golf WA website.
7. DRESS REGULATIONS
7.1 The following dress regulations will be enforced during the event:
MEN: Neat golf attire consisting of: long trousers; or, tailored shorts with long socks or short predominantly white socks that are visible above the shoe. Shorts must not be below the knee; shirts must have collars and be tucked into waistband. No cargo style shorts or trousers and no denim jeans.
WOMEN: Skirts, skorts and tailored shorts need to be mid-thigh length or tailored mid-calf pants or tailored slacks. Shirts must have collars. Tailored, fitted shirts may be worn outside provided they are not longer than hip length.
Golf attire is permitted to be worn on the Verandah following golf.
7. MOTORISED CARTS
7.1 It is a condition of this event that players are not permitted to ride in or on any form of motorised transportation during a stipulated round unless authorised by the Committee. Exception: A player listed on the Golf WA Motorised Cart – Authorisation List published on the Golf WA website and Royal Perth GC Members with Club authorisation.
