Conditions of Play
- This event is played as a team Ambrose of four players, any combination. Limit of 2 single handicappers per team.
- Each player tees off on every hole.
- The best ball is selected, marked, and lifted.
- All players then place their balls within one club length (one card length on the green) and hit again. This process is repeated until the ball is holed out.
- Each player must use a minimum of 4 tee shots/drives during the 18 holes.
- Tee Blocks: Red for Ladies, Blue for Men.
- Team Captain is the player with the lowest hcp. and marks & signs for the team's score.
- Playing Conditions • If the selected ball is in the rough, all players must play from the rough.
- If the selected ball is in a hazard or bunker, all players play from there.
- The match committee will make all arrangements and have full power to alter or create any variations in the program or order of play.
- Handicaps will be calculated as one-eighth of the combined team handicap.
- Sum: 10 + 15 + 20 + 25 = 70. Divide by 8: 70 / 8 = 8.75 Team Handicap 8.75
- Social golfers with no current GA Hcp. to play off a Hcp. of 24 for men and 32 for women.
- The Match Committee can adjust these handicaps based on a player's demonstrated ability and previous handicap history to ensure fair play among social players and those with official handicaps.
- It is each player's responsibility to ascertain their correct handicap. Rules + Etiquette

- The competition shall be played according to the rules of golf adopted by The Royal and Ancient Club of St Andrews, Scotland, together with any local rules in force.
- Keep up with the group in front.
- Players searching for a ball are allowed a maximum of 3 minutes
- Please rake bunkers and repair divots
- Scorecards: • Mark and sign your scorecard correctly. An incorrect card will incur disqualification.
- The Match Committee may change a result, but not the stroke score
- In the event of a tie, GA countback system is used – best back 9, then best 6, then best 3 holes.
- The match committee will deal with any written protest that must be lodged at the club by 3:00 pm on the day of the competition. The Match Committee's decision is final. Enjoy the game!
