2nd – 6th FEBRUARY 2026
Sunday 1st February - Welcome and Registration 1pm to 4pm
Monday 2nd - Medley Irish Fourball (Teams of four with two best scores each hole to aggregate)
Tuesday 3rd - Individual Stableford Men and Ladies - 1st round of 36 Hole Championship
Wednesday 4th - Rest Day
Thursday 5th - Individual Stableford for Men and Ladies - 2nd round of 36 Hole Championship
Friday 6th - 2BBB Medley Stableford
Qualifications
All intending players must be a current member of the NSWVGA, be 55 years of age and hold a current GA Handicap.
This applies to both men and women competitors. Handicap limits for the event are Women 45 and Men 36.
Proof of current Veterans Association membership must be provided at registration or to the starter on the first day of play.
Control: Decision of the Match Committee will be binding on all players. Conditions of play and visitor
information will be available at registration. Any ties will be decided by the GA count back system.
Your tee times will be available on the Club website and at registration.
Refunds: Refunds will be considered on individual bases up to 14 days prior to the commencement of the first day of play. An administration fee may be deducted from refunds.
Wet Weather Policy: Play will be held in wet weather unless the course is closed by the Course Superintendent. Any refunds for the day’s cancellation will be determined by the Match Committee and will be net of expenses.
Golf Carts and Scooters: No visitors carts are permitted.
Hawks Nest is a comfortable walking course. However a limited number of carts are available if required. Please indicate your requirements on the entry form. The Tournament Director will facilitate cart hire with the Pro Shop. If a cart is requested you may be required to share the cart depending on demand.
Cost is 90.00 dollars per seat (half share) for the four days of golf.
Rules: Local Rules appear on the reverse of the scorecard and should be read in conjunction with the Local Rules board outside the Pro Shop. Dress rules apply on the course and in the clubhouse. If available please wear name tags.
The NSWVGA Trophy for both men and ladies is awarded to the best aggregate Stableford scores from Tuesday and Thursday competitions. Players can only win one major prize as per NSWVGA Policy 2.
Hawks Nest members are not eligible to enter the event.
Playing Partners: You may only select your playing partner or partners for Irish Fourball day (3),
partner for 4BBB day (1), or if sharing a cart with the same person or gender for the two single Stableford days.
All other partners will be selected by Hawks Nest Vets Committee.
Activities: The popular Prawn Raffle may be conducted on Monday afternoon after the day’s golf results are announced. All players will be entered into the raffle.
You must be present at the draw to claim your prize.
On the Wednesday Rest Day you may wish to play in the Club Competition Round. Starting times are available at the Pro Shop.
